Fall/Winter 08 Idea Book Catalog Pictures

August 7th, 2008 • By: Amy Stampin' Up! Demo Related

Members may go to the Demonstrator Support page for different sizes and sidebar codes for the Fall/Winter 08 Idea Book & Catalog.  Photo (left) is shown at 200 pixels wide but I have 300 pixels, 250 pixels and 150 pixels wide depending upon the width of your sidebar.

No code is available to link it to the online catalog (of course), but you may wish to use the link in your Constant Contact newsletter or even on a page announcing it.

Unfortunately, I only have the American one to scan (the spelling of catalog is the give-away).  Until the cover of the Canadian catalogue is posted, I won’t have it.

I plan to overwrite the existing catalog photos (if you are using my old code on your site) on August 11th and in most cases, the link to the online catalog will remain the same.  So, you may wake up August 11th and the photo and link to the new catalog work very well… if not, the correct code will be listed as soon as Stampin’ Up! lists it, so check back!

Post-dating a post (in Wordpress 2.5+)

July 23rd, 2008 • By: Amy Wordpress Tips & Tricks

You are going away… to convention or cruise (shouldn’t we all…) and want to still post while you are gone.   How about a series of posts?  It’s very easy!

When you are creating a post, you may not have noticed, but in the right hand column (under Preview this Post) there is a "Publish Status" area and a choice "Publish Immediately" and EDIT (which is a link)… see first screenshot.  When you click "Edit" you will get a date/time menu that you can choose.

REMEMBER:  Your date/time must be properly set in >Dashboard >Settings >   Also, you must click "Publish" (it will remain a draft until you hit publish).

Putting HTML in a post–and a Paypal trick

July 14th, 2008 • By: Amy Wordpress Tips & Tricks

It is relatively easy to put HTML into a post using the "Source" button on the editor.  (Of course the editor in my hosted blogs include the souped-up FCKeditor that I install as a standard ’must have’ plugin).  If you don’t have this plug-in, the simple editor that comes with Wordpress will have a ‘Plain Text’ option that you can work in.
