How exciting!   Big changes are on the way for WordPress!  They are giving it cooler menus and more add ins… 

After it becomes available, it may take a few weeks for Fantastico to catch up and have it available for auto-upgrades, which is okay, it will give the ‘powers that be’ to fix any bugs that show up in the first weeks.  I generally wait at least a month to upgrade to the next version anyway!

"Ping" services allow you to automatically notify blog directories and search engines that your blog has been updated. The bigger your ping list the higher the chances of receiving traffic from those sources. WordPress comes with one service (pingomatic.com) listed. I have come across an article on DailyBlogTips.com that lists the following ‘ping’ services.

To add them, "cut" the list below, log in to your WordPress dashboard and do the following: >Dashboard >Options >Write >scroll down to the end and you will see "Update Services". It is important that each service be listed on their own line. As always, contact me if you have any questions!
