Customizing a Widget Link (target)

For those of you who have tried (unsuccessfully) to change the link to where you want the widget to go to, I have created a video that may help you.

In the video, I show you how to correctly find and copy the link to replace in the code I have given you. In this case, it is your DBWS 'Promotions' page.

Many times, the current special is also in your branded 'store' (i.e., the store that can usually only be gotten to via your >DBWS Home >Shop Now). If you want to link directly to your branded store, use the code below but change the XXX with your Demo ID:

YOUR SHOPPING CART CODE:
"http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?dbwsdemoid=XXX"

Remember, the code above is for your DWBS store directly (after you put your Demo ID in it!).

Direct Sales & Social Networking

About a year ago, I found (and I’ve been following) Jen Fong’s blog. Her blog is geared towards direct sellers and her advice is gold (and more important) is free… and served up on a regular basis. BTW, I don’t personally know Jen or have any business interest in what she offers, however I think as many of my clients that are businesswomen and direct sales persons on the web, we need this advice as the landscape of social networking changes and grows.

One of the things I most enjoy about her articles are that she speaks in plain English about things about social networking that sometimes amount to ‘things your mom should have told you,’ for example, basic etiquette and/or simply not annoying your family and friends or more important, not getting ‘un-friended’ or worse blocked from Facebook for certain behaviors.
