Sidebar Widget for Valentine Bundle

MEMBERS Log In to get the photo code for the Valentine bundle sidebar widget.

Public:  Right click and save the photo to your desktop… make sure it saves as .gif at the end (love.gif), otherwise when you upload it, it won’t blink.

Michele Laycock has another sidebar widget for this special… and possibly directions on how to upload this to your Blogger or Typepad sidebar.

WordPress 2.7 Tips

Saw this fabulous article at Noupe.com and learned a thing or two about the new WordPress 2.7 that I had missed! (Okay, so what I don’t know could fill a book).

The first thing I noticed (in Point 1.2 of the article) is the ability to "stick" a post using the Publish tab (see fig. below).  Many of you miss your ‘Sticky Post’ plugin that appears to not be compatible to 2.7.

December’s Project

Members login for the finished code for your sidebar.

For all other SU Demonstrators here is a ‘December Project’ sidebar graphic and code.  Right click and save the project.jpg graphic (left) and upload it to a folder on your server (ex. images folder is used in the sample below).  Fix the code below with your domain and folder you have uploaded the photo to (bolded text) and paste into a text sidebar widget.

For a tutorial on how to upload a graphic using SmartFTP tutorial CLICK HERE.  This tutorial assumes you have server level access to your blog installation.

December Special

Members login

to retrieve the linked photo code for both the Canadian and American sidebar widget.

All other SU Demonstrators:  Right click to save the photo to your desktop and then upload it to your service..  I do not know how you would get the photo onto your sidebar for Blogger or Typepad, but Blogsbyheather.com is an excellent resource.

If you can FTP directly to your online files (to your /images folder for example), you would code it like this (changing out the content in blue to where your photo is):

AMERICAN:
<a href="http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/Sampler_US.pdf" target="_blank"> <img src="http://yourdomain.com/images/dec08.jpg" border="0" /></a>

CANANDIAN:
<a href="http://www.stampinup.com/ca/documents/Sampler_CAN.pdf" target="_blank"> <img src="http://yourdomain.com/images/dec08.jpg" border="0" /></a>
